Lee "Scratch" Perry A highly eccentric and innovative producer, songwriter, and engineer. His musical career began working for Coxsone Dodd at Studio One. He is considered a pioneer of dub music, using the studio as an instrument and heavily experimenting with remixing, echo, reverb, and other studio effects. He built his own legendary studio, The Black Ark, and produced many notable artists, including Bob Marley and the Wailers, Junior Murvin, and The Congos. King Jammy (Prince Jammy) Began his career as a dub mixer and protégé of the legendary King Tubby. He is one of the most influential producers of dancehall music. He is credited with ushering in the digital dancehall era in 1985 with the release of Wayne Smith's "Under Me Sleng Teng," which featured an entirely digital rhythm (riddim).
