Soul Rebel Hoodie Dark Chocolate

Soul Rebel" by Bob Marley & The Wailers is a foundational and significant song in the band's catalog, marking a crucial creative partnership and a shift in their sound. It is the title track and opening song of the album Soul Rebels, which was released in December 1970. The song and the album were produced by the legendary Jamaican producer Lee "Scratch" Perry. This partnership (often with Perry's house band, the Upsetters, featuring Aston and Carlton Barrett) was essential in developing the Wailers' signature early Reggae sound. Soul Rebels was the first album by the Wailers to be released outside of Jamaica (in the UK by Trojan Records). The song title and the album title encapsulate the group's emerging political and social consciousness, blending their spiritual Rasta beliefs with a defiant, revolutionary stance.
